TAPAGE! is a noise monitoring application. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is stored, and how it is used.
Audio recordings: The app records audio clips around detected noise events using your device's microphone. These recordings are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server or cloud service.
Noise measurements: Sound level readings (dBA, dBC), vibration data, and session metadata are stored in a local database on your device.
Crash reports: The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports. These reports contain technical information about the crash (stack traces, device model, OS version) but do not contain any audio data, measurement data, or personally identifiable information.
All audio recordings and measurement data are stored locally on your device. Data is not backed up to cloud services (Android backup is disabled). You may optionally configure SMB/CIFS network export to transfer data to your own network share — this is entirely user-configured and no data is sent to our servers.
The app requires microphone access to measure sound levels and record audio evidence of noise events. The microphone is only active during monitoring sessions that you explicitly start. Audio is processed on-device and never leaves your device unless you manually export it.
The app requires internet access for two purposes only:
No audio, measurement, or personal data is transmitted over the internet.
You can delete all data at any time from within the app (Settings → Storage → Delete All Data). Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
